The charter notebook

A week aboard, beginning around Monaco.

For a week departing from or calling at Monaco, explain how the party will sleep before deciding how many ports to visit. Couples, separate beds, children and privacy requirements affect the choice. Request the actual yacht’s cabin arrangement, bathrooms and authorised overnight capacity; daytime guest numbers answer a different question.

The visit and its shore arrangements

Leave room along the Riviera

A list of Riviera towns is an invitation to discuss a route, not a completed itinerary. Berths, weather and the time used arriving or leaving can change how much of each day remains for guests. Choose several priorities and ask the captain to shape the passages around them.

Monaco may be the first port, the final port or a call during the charter. Confirm which applies and whether the yacht returns to the same place. A one-way idea can change delivery costs and the commercial arrangement.

Inside the yacht dossier

A longer stay begins with the cabin plan

Discuss which meals you expect aboard and how provisioning is organised. Allergies, preferences and children’s meals belong in the preparation. The presence of a galley does not establish the level of chef or table service included.

Read the expense arrangements

The proposal should explain the charter fee and any separate operating expenses, including fuel, provisioning, berths and applicable taxes or allowances. Ask how spending is authorised and reconciled. Do not assume an allowance percentage applies universally to every yacht or booking.

Review the crew, actual photographs, dates, embarkation times, payment stages and cancellation conditions together. A weekly charter should feel unhurried in the planning as well as on the water; leave time to resolve those details before committing.

Let us know when your guests reach Monaco and when they need to be ashore again. Those two appointments give the yacht proposal its starting point.
