The charter notebook
Plan your Monaco yacht charter with a skipper.
For a skipper-led Monaco charter, bring preferences rather than a navigation instruction. Explain where you would like to go, the return time and what the party hopes to do aboard. The captain then assesses a workable route for the boat and the conditions, including whether a proposed stop is appropriate.
Inside the yacht dossier
A private plan with a professional captain
A restaurant reservation, event arrival or onward journey may create a fixed point in the day. Make that constraint clear before choosing the yacht. It is better to agree a modest outline than to rely on the crew recovering time from an overfilled itinerary.
Crew roles need to be named
A skipper is not the same service arrangement as a larger crew with meal service. Ask who operates the yacht, who looks after the guests and whether catering or a chef is included. A lunch that needs continuous service should be planned with the crew’s boating responsibilities in mind.
Tell the team about first-time boat guests, children and anyone needing help with steps or boarding. The actual yacht’s access and safety arrangements matter more than general assurances about comfort.
Know where the charter starts
The written offer should identify the Monaco embarkation point or explain another proposed base. Delivery, tender transfers and guest time aboard should be clear. Confirm the full price and how a change of weather or route is handled under the booking terms.
The skipper retains operational judgement throughout the outing. We therefore describe coastal possibilities rather than guaranteeing a stop or an unchanged course. Current vessel details and crew arrangements come with the proposal.

Let us know when your guests reach Monaco and when they need to be ashore again. Those two appointments give the yacht proposal its starting point.
