Private yacht charters
A wedding celebration aboard in Monaco, planned through the guest journey.
Decide how the yacht fits your Monaco wedding plans: a gathering before the celebration, photographs, or time together afterwards. Each role needs its own guest list and schedule. A charter request alone does not arrange a legally recognised marriage ceremony.
Inside the yacht dossier
Identify the part of the wedding you mean
A reception, a symbolic ceremony, a photo session and a next-day lunch are distinct yacht requests. Say which one is intended before asking for a vessel. This guide does not establish that a legally recognised marriage ceremony can be performed aboard; any legal formalities need to be handled separately with the appropriate parties.
The programme should describe what guests will experience, in order. They may arrive dressed for a formal occasion, carry personal items and need somewhere comfortable while arrangements are completed. A yacht chosen only for its exterior may be less useful than one whose boarding, seating and interior support that actual sequence.
Count guests and suppliers together
Provide the complete proposed attendance, including children, photographers, musicians, planners and other suppliers. The operator must assess permitted use for the named vessel, whether cruising or alongside. Overnight accommodation, a seated meal and a reception guest allowance are separate questions and should not be reduced to one capacity number.
Ask how guests reach the main gathering area, toilets and any other essential space. Wedding clothing and footwear can make normal yacht steps more challenging. Explain mobility needs early enough to assess the vessel and marina together rather than relying on help being improvised on the day.
Make one supplier programme
Food, flowers, photographs, sound equipment and personal decorations need a coordinated boarding plan. Agree who supplies each item, who approves it and when access is available. The charter crew should not discover an additional supplier or large equipment case only as guests are arriving.
A seated meal deserves a real table arrangement. Ask how the proposed number will be accommodated, how service moves through the area and where guests go between moments. Equipment, decoration fixings and any special effects require the operator’s approval; a wedding brief does not make every request suitable for a yacht.
Berth-based hosting or time at sea
A Monaco reception while alongside can offer a different guest flow from a cruise. Establish the actual berth, access arrangements and permitted hosting use. A preferred harbour location must be confirmed as part of the offer rather than inferred from a yacht photograph or an event association.
If the yacht cruises, the timing needs to fit the shore-side wedding programme and a practical alternative for conditions. A coastal photo opportunity should not depend on reaching one exact spot at one exact minute. Protect the essential celebration and let the captain shape a feasible course around it.
Give the planner a complete offer
Nominate the person responsible for decisions and guest information. The proposal should identify the yacht, use, crew, guest arrangement, suppliers, departure or berth, and full costs. Ask how changes to weather, timing or attendance affect each service and which provider handles each element.
Send dates, the role of the yacht in the wedding, approximate attendance and any immovable shore commitments. Add the meal, photographs and access requirements. A clear reception or celebration brief allows the actual vessel and arrangements to be assessed before the planner builds the final guest schedule.
